News reports this morning indicate the U.S. Marines are leaving Fallujah. If this is true, it is a major event in world history.

In the 1990s, EARLY WARNING REPORT often said this war between the Islamic world and the West would be a guerrilla war. Saddam Hussein and other Mideast leaders were known to have studied the Vietnam War, and they understood the hard truth the U.S. government would not face: guerrilla war is America's Achilles' heel.

We warned many times that the reason such wars are so difficult to win is, you cannot shoot what you cannot find. The only way to beat guerrillas who are supported by the population is to murder everyone, including the children. Yes children. In the Vietnam War, many Americans learned the hard way that even a small child can hand you a Coke can with a grenade inside.

In Fallujah, US troops would not commit mass murder, so victory was impossible. Regardless of how much spin U.S. officials try to put on the story, Fallujah is a loss, and the Thousand Year War is now supercharged. Every young male in the Islamic world will want to pile on.

Washington claims Iraqi troops entering Fallujah are on the side of the U.S., but these troops were carrying the flag of Saddam Hussein's regime. 1

Worse, the Iraqi guerrillas beat Marines, who are touted as America's best. As far as I can remember, the last time Marines lost a major battle was in Korea, 1951.

Again, if reports of the Marines withdrawing are true, this is a very important day in world history.
